Xiaomi has unveiled its first luxury high-performance electric SUV – the Xiaomi YU7, marking its entry into the SUV segment after the success of the SU7 electric sedan. Revealed during the brand’s 15th-anniversary event, the YU7 brings together in-house developed chips (Xuanjie O1 and T1), new smartphones, tablets, and a powerful electric SUV.
The Xiaomi YU7 is a premium EV inspired by the SU7’s design and performance. Tailored for families and high-performance seekers, it features a dynamic aerodynamic profile, modern luxury interior, and impressive electric range.
In terms of design, the YU7 has a sleek front profile with a unique tear-drop style hollow headlamp that hides an air inlet. With 10 air ducts and a drag coefficient of just 0.245, it offers great aerodynamic efficiency. The SUV will be available in Emerald Green, Titanium, and Lava Orange colors.
Inside, the YU7 boasts a double-enclosure cockpit covered in soft-touch materials. It offers three interior colors: Turquoise Grey, Coral Orange, and Twilight Blue. The cabin includes a 1.1m long “Sky Screen” combining a digital cluster and HUD, plus a 6.68-inch rear control screen. Rear seat comfort is enhanced with 135-degree recline and zero-gravity driver seat.
Powering the YU7 is a V6s Plus super motor delivering 690PS. It accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 3.23 seconds with a top speed of 253 km/h. The 800V silicon carbide platform supports ultra-fast charging — 620km range in 15 minutes and 10–80% in just 12 minutes.
Technologically, it runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen3 and NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor with 700 TOPS computing power for autonomous driving. ADAS includes 1 LiDAR, 11 HD cameras, and 12 ultrasonic sensors. The SUV comes in three variants with ranges from 760–835 km.
Launching in July 2025 in China, international debut is expected later. Pricing will be revealed at launch. Xiaomi YU7 is ready to challenge rivals like Tesla Model Y and BYD Seal U in style.
