Xiaomi introduced another remarkable innovation in its range of smart home products by launching the Mijia Dual Zone Washing Machine Pro. This washing machine is specially designed for those who prioritize high technology, smart control, and hygiene in their laundry routine. It features a double drum system, meaning you can wash two types of clothes – such as regular garments and undergarments – separately in different drums at the same time. The key highlight is that both drums can be used simultaneously or independently, providing users with both convenience and cleanliness.

The initial price of this washing machine is RMB 5,499 (approximately ₹63,000), but under a national subsidy, the price drops to RMB 4,399 (approximately ₹51,000). Sales will begin on May 13, 2025, and the machine will be available on various online platforms including JD.com. It includes one large 10 kg drum and a smaller drum specially suited for undergarments or children’s clothes. Both drums come with anti-bacterial door seals, further enhancing hygiene.

This washing machine is equipped with a double suspension system, providing independent shock absorption for both the upper and lower drums. Additionally, it features an intelligent centrifugal detection algorithm, a DD direct drive motor, and smart control features, making it technologically advanced. The small drum accurately assesses weight to optimize drying time, while the large drum automatically determines the required amount of water and detergent based on the weight of the clothes.

The Mijia Dual Zone Washing Machine Pro also includes features like blue oxygen wash, steam sterilization, and mite removal, which not only clean clothes but also protect them from bacteria and allergens. If the door is not opened within 30 minutes after the wash is complete, the machine automatically starts fresh air ventilation, preventing bad odor in clothes. Moreover, the machine comes with a full-touch color screen, allowing users to control both drums simultaneously.

Xiaomi has designed this washing machine to fit into its smart home ecosystem, incorporating Pengpai OS connection, Xiao AI voice commands, and smart device interconnection features. This means you can operate the machine via your smartphone or voice. For example, saying “Hey Xiaomi, wash my baby clothes” will immediately start the small drum.
